Bitcoin Racing is thrilled to confirm its entry and participation in the prestigious MINI Challenge for the 2025 season, competing in the highly competitive Sport Class. Building on the successes and experiences of 2024, the team is setting its sights on racing for the championship title, thanks to the support of our first title sponsor, who will be revealed soon.
Aiming for the Championship
With the backing of our new title sponsor, Bitcoin Racing is equipped with the resources needed to take on the challenge of the 2025 season. This partnership marks a significant milestone in our journey, enabling us to invest further in both performance and innovation. Our team enters the season with a wealth of mechanical and driver experience gained from 2024, providing a solid foundation for championship contention.
Driver's Perspective
"I am excited to enter my second year in the MINI Challenge," said Chris MacKenzie, Bitcoin Racing’s lead driver. "Having had a full year to hone my skills, with over seven podiums and a fastest lap achieved, I look forward to entering the 2025 season with 100% confidence in my ability to handle the car and achieve peak performance. I’m also eager to engage more with fans and fellow drivers to discuss the transformative potential of Bitcoin, why they should own it, and how it has helped take our team to the next level."
Team Principal's Vision
"As a family-run team, we’ve given everything to get a Bitcoin car into this elite level," said Charlie MacKenzie, co-team principal. "We are excited to be heading into our first season where we have the ability to compete for pole position. Bitcoin has changed the life of our family and has also allowed my brother to achieve his motorsport dreams. I am committed to helping both him and Bitcoin reach their full potential and will do whatever it takes to create a winning team. Advancing through the ranks of motorsport year on year, we aim to reach larger audiences and educate more people about Bitcoin."
Strengthening the Team
To ensure we leave no stone unturned in our pursuit of excellence, Bitcoin Racing has recruited a data engineer and a mechanic apprentice. These new additions will help optimize the car’s setup, pushing performance boundaries and ensuring our MINI is faster than ever.
We’re also excited to announce the addition of a presenter and social media host to our team. This dynamic role will focus on sharing real-time updates about our racing campaign, engaging with fans to discuss Bitcoin, and creating compelling content to grow Bitcoin Racing’s online presence. By amplifying our "orange-pilling" efforts, we aim to further connect the worlds of motorsport and Bitcoin.
Larger Grids, Bigger Audiences
The MINI Challenge Sport Class promises even more exciting racing in 2025, with a larger grid that will keep fans on the edge of their seats. Over 400,000 trackside spectators and a massive TV audience of 16 million viewers on ITV4 will witness the adrenaline-pumping action as the series unfolds across some of the UK’s most iconic circuits.
